From Dallas comes the duo A.Dd+. Made up of Slim Gravy and Parish Pershun, the duo earned a “Best Rap Act” nomination from their hometown Dallas Observer after the release of their first project, Power of The Tongue. On March 28th they will release their new album, When Pigs Fly, as a free online download. The album’s production is handled by Picnic Tyme, a rising Dallas producer who has worked with Naledge and is also a part of Erykah Badu’s Cannabinoids collective. “Slow Tempo” is a song grounded in reality, as both Slim and Paris tell stories of their struggles, one with drug addiction, one with family illness. Both emcees shine over Picnic Tyme’s production, one that fuses synths and a slow rolling beat to provide Slim and Parish a buttery sound scape. Download the song below.
