Ajani Jones Drops Visuals For “Pyramids (Featuring Kweku Collins)”

Ajani Jones has been staying busy the last few months. Since the release of Cocoons six months ago he has steadily put out music videos, released new merch and rocked stages all across Chicago (notably Pitchfork Music Festival with label mate Kweku Collins). Yesterday he added to his resume with the release of the music video for Pyramids, one of the singles off of Cocoons.

The video is full of mystical imagery, surreal landscapes with floating mechanical objects suspended above them, and an overall theme of decay. The video matches the energy of the song, quick motion and frequent cuts run parallel to Ajani’s turn-on-a-dime flow while slow motion establishing shots work with the vibed out beat. The video was shot by Flow Motion Media. Watch it below.
