Alecia Chakour is the daughter of a rhythm and blues musician and it shows. She’s a versatile artist who is able to perform blues, soul, and gospel. Her sound is raw and powerful. Here’s the first leak from Alecia Chakour & The Osrah’s first EP which is a remake of Baby Huey & The Babysitters “Hard Times” classic. The original song came out in 1971 and has been sampled by Ghostface Killah in Buck 50 from Supreme Clientele. The EP, entitled Loomi, is scheduled to drop later this summer.
