anti pop

The Anti-Pop Consortium just kicked off their tour in NYC, and is coming to the Windy City on Friday for a show at the Empty Bottle.  The band will see the release of its new album Fluorescent Black on October 6th, and will celebrate by touring through October 12th.  The four man outfit has previously toured with Radiohead, Prefuse 73 and others, and released their sophomore disc, Arrhythmia, in 2002 on Dan The Automator’s Ark 75.  Following the release of their second album, the group ventured into other endeavors before a meeting at a friend’s birthday party brought them together.  The result is Fluorescent Black.  We have two tracks from the album that you can hear below.  Check out “Capricorn One” and “Apparently”.
