Bansky

So I know most of you reading this know who Bansky is, and especially since the recent release of his movie “Exit Through The Gift Shop” (shout outs to AB for the pre-screening tix) after which everyone has become an expert of his work. I’m not going to lie and say I’m an expert myself, but I definitely knew his work for some time and way before I saw the the movie, which was more about Mr. Brainwash and questions the validity of what an artist really is.

In the last couple days two sightings of Bansky’s work has popped up in our fair city. When I first heard that a Bansky piece was spotted I was def happy and couldn’t wait to see what he did. The first piece spotted was an “Untouchables” reference of a baby stroller rolling down a stair case on the corner of Randolph & Peoria. I was skeptical about it really being one of his piece until his website confirmed it. The newest piece that has been spotted by photographer Dankru is Bansky’s calling card and the same rat on the promotions of his his movie. Some are a bit more doubtful of this one cause of the technique and the positioning of the piece. Many think it’s just a promo to help push the movie, and that this one isn’t really him. Any way the cops are on it and lets hope these stay up longer before Daley takes them down. Check out more pics below of the two pieces and hopefully he is really here and just getting ready for a bigger piece to cover our city.
