Beastie Boys

Before dropping Licensed To Ill, Def Jam released The Rock Hard EP in 1985 containing the title track, as well as the song “Beastie Groove” and “Party’s Getting Rough”.  This was essentially the world’s introduction to the rapping Beastie Boys.  The EP was pulled after AC/DC flipped out about the sample used in the title track, which was taken from their “Back In Black”.  With all the new Beastie music leaking, and people catching nostalgia, I decided to let loose of “Beastie Groove”, a song I picked up a long time ago on one my many Beastie Boys bootlegs and rarity discs.  I’ve got many more in store, so consider this the first of the rare Beastie material you’ll see on RH leading up to the new album.  Download it below.
