The 80s golden boys are looking towards the future today by launching their new Ill Communication game on their website dedicated to their recent deluxe re-issue of the classic Beastie Boys 1994 album. The LP featured joints such as “Sureshot” and “Sabotage”, which won the Beastie video accolades and set off a storm of Halloween costumes. The video game lets you ride around Google Earth in the “Sabotage” car all while listening to the deluxe re-issue which is streamed on the site. Play the game right here.
The reissue comes in a variety of combos and deluxe packages, and is a two disc set that contains previously bootlegged joints and remixes. The Beasties have previously re-released Paul’s Boutique and Check Your Head, and have a Hello Nasty issue coming as well. All this will lead up to the 9/15 release of their next official LP, The Hot Sauce Committee Pt. 1, which boasts features from the likes of Nas and Santigold.
