Mike D posted the above image to the Beastie Boys website earlier today, along with the message “May Three, Y’all.” The Beastie Boys also wrote about the album, explaining a brief history of The Hot Sauce Committee saying,
“Since the dawn of time, and perhaps even before, there was a silent order who were tasked with a mission. They held their secret tightly. On may 3rd the HOT SAUCE COMMITTEE PART TWO will be unleashed on the general public. Hold fast ye heathens.”
The album comes on time, but with music that was originally slated to be released in 2009, and under the name Hot Sauce Committee Part 1. I’m excited to hear what the Beastie Boys have in store with the new LP, and it’s great to see them releasing new music following the MCA being stricken with a form of throat Cancer right before the Beasties were set to drop Part 1.
