Black Rob

Black Rob has a new album in stores today. It’s his first since 2005’s The Black Rob Report, and also his first since returning from jail in May of 2010.  The album, Game Tested, Streets Approved, is released via the storied independent label Duck Down Music.  It’s a great fit for Rob, who trades in some of the shiny suitness of Bad Boy for the gritty and underground feel of Duck Down. Really, it was Rob’s best move since his release.  Duck Down has a perfect aesthetic and reputation, and is Rob is going to recapture any of the fans and acclaim he had stored from his debut Life Story, it is going to be with the label that is home to Buckshot, Sean Price, Smif N Wessun, and others.

He also dropped a new video today for the album’s cut “Celebration”.  Watch the bbq themed video below.
