Blu hasn’t done a conventional project in his life, and because of that has established himself as an elusive and abstract figure in today’s Hip Hop culture. Having been relitively silent over the past year, he will be in the spotlight more as the year progresses, releasing a newly mastered version of Give Me My Flowers While I Can Still Smell Them with Exile. He’s also teaming up with fellow SoCal native Bombay for a project, “Rap Dope” being the first of their product to come to light. Bombay’s mellow production makes you feel like you’re in a haze, with spacey snyths and a warped baseline completing the experience. Listen to the track below, and if you haven’t heard our Closed Sessions Vol. 2, make sure to check out Blu’s included track “Comfy In My Truck”.
