Bruno Mars is a melody beast. The kid knows how to make a song, and “Liquor Store Blues” showcases his pop sensibilities and mainstream songwriting without being cheesy or corny. The song sounds a little bit Sublime-ish, with hints of their happy sound w/grouding lyrics. After Bruno’s weekend run-in with the authorities though, “Liquor Store Blues” aren’t the biggest of his problems… OK, that was a bad joke… Hopefully Bruno works out what he needs to, cause he’s got a ton of musical talent.
