“Got a lot on my mind… need a lot in my pocket.”
If there is one song you listen to, or one video you watch this morning before really starting your day, I suggest making it “Eyes on Success” from Buff1 and David Dallas. The collaboration is a soulful and inspirational and every bit real Hip Hop. For those still unfamiliar, Buff1 came up as part of Ann Arbor’s Athletic Mic League crew. AML’s 2004 release, Jungle Gym Jungle, is considered an underground classic and also features Red Bull Big Tune winner 14KT, and Mayer Hawthorne as the crew’s DJ. Buff has since released a few solo albums, as well as the very fresh and newly released group project Crown Royale with The Beat Junkie’s DJ Rhettmatic.
We are celebrating the Crown Royale release this week. So far, Rhettmatic took over the RH Radio, and later today we will be posting our in-depth convo with Buff1. Look for extra goodies the rest of the week as well.
In David Dallas news, the double D is an emcee from New Zealand where he was a part of the crew Frontline. He has been making waves stateside since the 2008 release of his debut album, and recently signed a deal with Duck Down Records. Look for him as well as 2011 continues. Check out the video below.
