After spending a few minutes with Casey Veggies, one is able to come to a few realizations.  Veggies, a semester removed from graduating high school, has realized something early on that many adults still can’t figure out.  What Veggies seems to be mastering is how to not just chase a dream, but to capture one.  Since the age of 12, Veggies has been creating music. When he reached his teenage years, he became pretty good at it, good enough to fall in with the Odd Future crew, another group of immensely talented teens.  Veggie’s talent was also noticed by the likes of Dom Kennedy, Rockie Fresh, Juicy J and especially Mac Miller, who pegged Veggie’s for the recently wrapped 58-City Blue Slide Tour.

It was during the Boston stop of the tour, which also featured Pac Div, that I talked to Casey about his journey through music, and learning from his peers as he prepares for the release of a new project, Customized Greatly Vol. 3. After waiting in the midst of what felt like the homecoming party at Blue Side Park High, I was able got a word get in an interview with Casey.  The interview happened between a steady conversation between he and his people on the high’s and low’s of the set, crowd pleasers, and what could be improved on in the future.  With two great friends in place as managers (Josh Peas x Anwar Carrots = Peas & Carrots Intl), the crew continues to showcase early signs of long-term success.  With his team’s shared zealous, devoted work ethic, and the crisp clothing line associated with Casey, as well as collaborations with veterans, Mom will be happy to know you’ll get your greens for years to come.
