There are a few underlining themes running throughout Chiddy Bang’s catalog. For example, it’s mentioned in some way or another, that the duo dropped out of college to pursue music full-time, that they work extremely hard at their craft, and that they feel like they are on the verge. It’s those feelings of being on the verge where dream chasing turns to dream catching that makes for the most interest subject matter, and where Chiddy Bang excels. Their rise has been extremely fast, and judging from their music, they are very much aware of the speed, at times welcoming it full force at other points they wish for things to slow down a little bit. All those themes appear on “Here We Go”, the latest offering from Chiddy Bang that features industry veteran, Q-Tip. While their collaboration with Black Thought is one of my favorite Chiddy Bang joints, I have to take a pass on “Here We Go”, which is a divergence from the tracks I’ve enjoyed from this duo.
