Dior’s Fall 2009 couture show brought together different elements, but had an extreme focus on lingerie. The show was deeply inspired by past videos and photographs that John Galliano had seen of Mr. Dior himself fitting half-dressed models and clients. This collection had slips showing, garter belts, bustiers, and almost anything you would think to be worn under a garment on the outside. I am definitely in love with the collection. The palette is a lot brighter than most for fall even though couture tends to have brighter color schemes. Usually, Galliano teams up the beautiful garments with crazy theatrical shows, but he kept this one simple wanting to go along with the privacy that clients once experienced at the original Dior house. The show was small and held at the HQ of Dior. Once again, an amazing show from his highness, Mr. John Galliano. Ladies, let’s start wearing our undies on the outside… I doubt we’d have that many complaints. More pics below.
