Thanks to some in-depth research by the staff over at Complex it seems as if Thebe Kgositsile, also known as Earl Sweatshirt of OFWGKTA, has been found. The magazine found some very convincing evidence in support that his is in Samoa. The first was a teen who claimed to have spent time with Earl while at the Coral Reef Academy. His testimony was confirmed when David Huebner, the U.S. ambassador to New Zealand and Samoa visited the school. On September 13, 2010, he provided the world with the photo above, showing that Earl was indeed in Samoa at one point. The only contradicting info about Earl’s whereabouts came from OFWGKTA’s head honcho Tyler, The Creator. Earlier today he took to his twitter saying “That Complex Shit Is False Info. Sucks Waking Up To Some Shit Like That.” But on the track “Tang Wolf” Hodgy Beats raps “Ask Syd where we at. She’ll tell you where we going. To free Earl from the fucking Samoans.” A lot of contradiction here, but it looks like Earl was indeed in Samoa at some point. His current location is still a mystery but hopefully he will return soon, Free Earl!
