Cris Cab is incredibly talented but I wish he’d just drop more original material. I’ve only heard 3 original tracks by the kid, but they were all pretty good. As he releases more material, I’m beginning to develop a more concrete opinion of him as an artist. I was expecting his latest cover to have more of a different feel than the original “All of the Lights” but the instrumentals sound too familiar. The visuals come off as corny. It’s no Rebecca Black video but it’s still too close for comfort. He’s only 17 so I guess it’s appropriate to give him a break. That and the vocals are good.
I don’t know where he plans on taking his career but I hope he distinguishes himself as an artist. He definitely has the ability to do so. Anyway…make the jump to check out the video and track.
