Flavorful and funky. Not sure how else to describe the Brooklyn based group Das Racist or what they have been doing within the indie music scene in the past year. One thing is for certain though, they make playful light hearted music with social undertones and it works. The duos debut, Shut Up, Dude was slated for a Fall release but now made it’s way through the intranets by way of Nahright and MISHKA. Make sure to give the wacky Brooklynites free tape a few spins to brighten up your consumer awareness and look for more of them at RubyHornet soon.
