We premiered the track “Love”, a collaborative reminiscing on the romantic from PHLI Worldwide founder and Dave Jeff and NYC turned Chicago DJ, Broadway Streetz. The video places Dave Jeff and Broadway Streetz in a “lovers anonymous” therapy session, where they both vent their feelings on past loves. The video also takes us through the streets of Hyde Park, and into the new and improved PHLI Store. The song has an old school vibe that stays true to the influences and back stories of Dave Jeff as well as Broadway Streetz, both deeply rooted in rap’s golden era. Along with pioneering Chicago’s streetwear scene (alongside many others) Dave Jeff also has a vintage jam in “Money Money” and was an accomplished background dancer. “Love” sets the table for PHLI Music Vol. 2, which should be out soon and follows up PHLI Music Vol. 1, both of which were handled by DJBWS.
