On the song, both stic.man and M1 paint a bleak picture of African-American success in America, pretty much saying that no matter what is achieved, true freedom won’t come til the system comes down. It’s been built on injustice after injustice, making it only a matter of time until the system makes it move, bringing down whatever has been built aka the “Dead Man’s Shoes”.
