Only a handful of artists besides Drake could have accomplished what he did these past 18 months. The Toronto native was able to remain in the headlines, establish his own festival and still be considered an elite emcee without a project out. Drizzy is now focused on releasing his third LP Nothing Was The Same and completely take over the game with one of the most anticipated projects in recent memory. In “Hold on We’re Going Home”, the latest single from the album, we see a more retro-side from Drake; taking inspiration from R&B and deep-house. Definitely a risky move by the Young Money signee, which was successfully executed and will probably pay dividends with radio plays.
