Sampling “Heartbeat” from Nneka, “I’m Ready For You”, tells the story of a woman finally ready for a new guy to be her guy. Drake lays the reference for a female singer to take over, or maybe he’ll do what Arlo Guthrie, Paul Barman, and others have done when sing from the perspective of the opposite gender. That Nneka sample is sick as hell. The tags for “DJ Alex” are pretty whack though. I mean, that’s a pretty whack DJ name to me, and my first name is Alexander so I’m not hating on the name itself, just the DJ name. Screams weddings and proms… just saying…
