With a commanding yet smooth voice, Lili K caught our attention after hearing her lend vocals for Chance The Rapper’s “Prom Night” record back in April. Shortly after, she dropped “Come In” —a mellow collaboration with producer Thelonious Martin—and cemented herself as a pivotal artist to watch in 2012. Fast-forward to today, and Lili has released a couple of videos, a critically-acclaimed EP in Metal Petals, and she has become one of the most important up-and-coming artists in Chicago. 2013 will definitely be a break-out year for the songstress, and on the next page, you can look back at Lili’s incredible past 365 days and read about my five favorite joints from her.
