Eminem made one of the biggest announcements of the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards when he revealed the release date for his next project, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, the sequel to his multi-platinum 2001 Interscope release that rocketed Em to the international spotlight. “Berzerk” is an ode to 80s punk-rap days, likely an ode to the tunes Marshall grew up with as a young Detroit hip-hop head.
