Eminem

It’s hard to believe that it has been over ten years since Eminem’s debut album and he first showed up on my TV rapping about Marty Shottenhiemer, and 5th’s of Kool-Aid.  Did you expect this, the stardom, the fame, larger than life presence, the first time you saw videos for “I Just Don’t Give A F**K”, or “My Name Is”?  How about after hearing “Guilty Conscience” for the first time?   I definitely didn’t, and I don’t think Eminem did either listening to the lyrics of “Cocaine”, a new leak featuring Jazmine Sullivan. “It wasn’t like this when you were ciphering,” Eminem raps about the struggles he faced while making a career in entertainment, and the construction of his media image. “Sometimes the dream to make it is actually more fun than it is to make it,” he adds before Jazmine Sullivan’s hook comes back in comparing Em’s need to be Eminem to cocaine.

This leak is another in a recent flurry of unreleased Eminem tracks, and in my opinion, the best.  Listen to it below.
