The announcement that Badu would be the face of the brand’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection came late last year by Tisci himself, after being inspired to create a line mashed up of African and Japanese influences. With Givenchy already being one of the most respected fashion lines in the industry, the collaboration effortlessly proved to be a success with praise from blogs to runways around the world.
