We don’t see much poetry grace the pages of Ruby Hornet, namely because we don’t receive all that much, but the art form is a natural fit for us here. This latest comes from Etho, a Chicago youth who has put his poetic skills to work creating a piece about the teenage experience. Helping him bring the piece to fruition is Smoko Ono, a up-and-coming producer who’s worked with many of Chicago’s rising stars. A nod goes to Young Chicago Authors, who have helped kids like Etho expand their exposure to literature and who are nurturing a very positive scene in the city. Listen below.
