Fashawn

With a West Coast overflowing with new dope artists, it is all to easy to let an one slip by your eye, Fashawn should never be one of them. The emcee is not a rookie by any standard and his skills easily demonstrate it; he established himself as a somewhat of a phenom with the release of the Exile backed Boy Meets World in 2009. “Generation F” comes to us off of his upcoming Champagne & Styrofoam Cups project, expected to land in March. The track embodies what I imagine a Fashawn song sounding like. The mellow beat embues the west coast vibes into its very soul. On top of that you hear Fashawn’s lyrical dexterity as he seamlessly moves from a ghetto story to braggadocio and then to some very insightful social commentary.
