Freddie Gibbs

Freddie Gibbs released his new mixtape today, The Labels Tryin To Kill Me.  The mix is a collection of Freddie’s best work, as well as several new songs.  DJ Skee is on the mix, and it is presented by TSS. We spoke to Freddie last week and he gave us some info on the mixtape.  He said,

“I wanted to pay homage to a hero and one of the great entrepreneurs in the biz, Master P.  He used to flood the streets with like 10 albums a month, so I just flooded a mixtape with 80 tracks of some of my early best verses and freestyles.  Just some s**t to get ni***z who wasn’t up on me 2 years ago caught up with what I’m doing now, and to let the labels know that they had that killa s**t they been lookin for the last 5 years right under they nose, and now they can’t get it as cheap as they got it before.  The material on this project’s just gonna show people how versatile I am as a rapper and the growth in my flow.”
