GIrls

What is it with these bands and their un-googlable names? Never mind, I’ve been on this rant before. Last we heard from Girls they were taking over my Ipod with their brilliant first album appropriately named, Girls. I was a sucker, and still am, for the amazing opening track “Lust for Life”. The newest EP by the band, Broken Dreams Club, is steeped in 1950’s nostalgia. The opening track, “Thee Oh So Protective One” is a fantastic 1950’s dream-pop ballad. It conjures black-and-white images of slow-dancing at the sock-hop, not that I ever attended one, but I’ve seen “Back to the Future”.

Broken Dreams Club will be released on November 22nd on True Panther Sounds.
