Gold Panda is a producer out of the UK where he’s just released his fantastic first long player, Lucky Shiner; The standout track is “Snow and Taxis” which is a lush, electronic ballad. Relentlessly pushing forward, the beat is layered with flourishes of bells and snare which give the track a dense, but organic texture. Reminiscent of Air France’s recent brilliant offering, Gold Panda works similar territory but creates his own space. Gold Panda’s Lucky Shiner is out now on Ghostly International Records.
