Luxury goods maker, Hermes has delved into another market: crocodile farming. Apparently, the demand is so high for these exotic-skinned bags that the group has decided to just breed their own crocodiles in Australia. They can barley meet the demand of 3,000 bags a year, and many clients wait years to own one of the highly coveted handbags that can cost over $50,000. The leather goods account for around 40% of its business, so they need a way to keep the croc skin coming! I can already hear PETA’s uproar…
