So, Saturday was Digital Freshness with CyHi Da Prynce. Hollywood Holt DJ’ed following my set and CyHi’s performance. I had to bounce real quick and take CyHi back to the hotel and missed Hollywood Holt’s set. When I got back like 45 minutes later he told me how he “killed that s**t” and that he also debuted a new song, “The Gimp”, that I also missed. He told me he had a session on Monday and invited me to come thru, so I headed there tonight after the leaving the office. As I approached the door to the studio I could already hear him going in on Cassidy’s “I’m A Hustla”, which coincidentally I happened to play on Saturday during my set right before Holt went on, so everything comes full circle. This song also contains Mike Kolar’s new favorite Hollywood Holt line (“I hustle harder than the homeless trying to eat when they’re boney, or a virgin trying to lose it to his first tenderoni”). BTW, I did get to listen to “The Gimp” and that is fresh as well…
