RH Radio

We pair our site design update with a fresh new batch of track in the RH Radio.  This week’s update contains new cuts from Eminem, Samuel, Janelle Monae, Rakaa, and more.  Check them out below, and listen to them all in the RH Player.

Janelle Monae

Janelle Monae: “Oh Maker”

Somehow, some way Janelle Monae keeps showing up in the RH Radio… Can you guess that her Arch Android is one of the office’s favorite LPs?  This is, what we I feel is the album’s best joint… Tell me I’m wrong…

Young Jeezy and Drake

Young Jeezy: “Lose My Mind” featuring Drake

Drake and Jeezy provide a ying and a yang.  Jeezy helps Drake on the tough guy act, and Drake provides Jeezy with a sensitive side… I mean, thugs also have feelings.

Nneka

Nneka: “Heartbeat” featuring Nas

Nneka hooks up with Nas for a remix to “Heartbeat” off her official stateside debut.  I loved the song before, and Nas only adds to the enjoyment.  I wonder if these two hooked up for real?  And if they did, I’m not mad at it.

Bilal

Bilal: “Free”

Bilal’s first single off his forthcoming Airtight’s Revenge is a winner.  Bilal –> Blaow!

Freddie Gibbs

Freddie Gibbs: “National Anthem” (F**k The World)

Gibbs’ first “for-sale” release gets closer and closer.  Str8 Killa drops August 3rd, and before that we will get yet another mixtape from Gangsta Gibbs… Before that he’ll be at Digital Freshness 7.15.

I Heart NY

Samuel: “I Heart NY”

Samuel breaks down the deal when you want those flashing lights in the “perfect for the summer tune, “I Heart NY”.

Currensy

Curren$y: “The Day” featuring Jay Electronica and Mos Def

Hold up, hold my coat… Maybe my favorite song in the RH radio this week.  Supposedly the trio of Curren$y, Mos Def, and Jay Electronica are going to do a proper project together.  If it’s true and it sounds like this, then I can’t wait.

Rakaa

Rakaa: “Aces High” featuring Fashawn, Evidence, and Defari (prod. by Alchemist)

Rakaa’s left coast monster posse cut hits the web featuring Evidence (his Dilated partner in crime), Defari, and Fashawn. Alchemist produced the song, and it will appear on Crown of Thorns, the long-awaited solo debut that drops July 20th via Decon.  Dilated Peoples will forever be one of my favorite Hip Hop groups, and I’m excited to finally get my hands on this record.

Eminem

Eminem: “Session One” featuring Slaughterhouse

Eminem moved a lot of copies… This was the bonus cut, and perhaps the best cut.

Kid Cudi

Kid Cudi: “REVOFEV”

Kid Cudi’s happy on his new single “REVOFEV”.  The carnival intro sounding track is the perfect kick off to his sophomore LP, and contains the exact right amount of “whoas”… I actually saw them counting those, and adding and subtracting in the back.

Lupe and Pharrell

Million Minion March: “Minions Mambo” featuring Pharrell and Lupe Fiasco

Taking a page from Bebe’s kids, Pharrell and Lupe demonstrate how the Minions don’t die, only multiply.  This track is from “Despicable Me”, in theaters soon.

That concludes are player update for today…
