We linked up with Brooklynatti's Tanya Morgan during the Chicago stop of The Freshly Dipped Tour. Here Von P. and Don Will perform a verse from their latest EP, The Bridge. Tanya Morgan is also currently wrapping up their sophomore full-legnth, Brooklynatti, which should be dropping towards the end of the year. The fellas from the group with the girl's name also dropped a little insight into what inspires them in this edition of RH Inspired By.

We linked up with Chicago emcee Mic Terror, "your girlfriend's favorite rapper," for this segment of Freestyle In Park. Mic is part of URB's next 100, and had a little internet back and forth with Mazzi of S.O.U.L Purpose back in the spring. For three years the PHLI Block Party has been a seminal event of summer time in the Windy City. Each July people of all races, ages, and neighborhoods have gathered in Hyde Park's Harper Court for a day of music, food, and fashion. With a performance history boasting the likes of Rhymefest, Peedi Crak, GLC, Kanye West, Keith Murray, and Just Blaze, this year's PHLI Block party was the most anticipated to date. However, due to neighborhood politics, a sale of Harper Court, and the violence seen in Chicago this year, the PHLI Party has been left with nowhere to go, and has been canceled, much to the disappointment of Dave Jeff and people throughout the city. Dave Jeff broke the news to RubyHornet first, and tells the whole story in this interview with Roosevelt Treasurechest. Dave also speaks on PHLI's future home given the University of Chicago's plans for Harper Court, as well as the full spectrum of the PHLI Brand. |

"You're just the chief of staff, let me speak to your president." The most beautifullest emcee in this world hits RH TV in the new segment of Freestyle In The Park. Keith Murray once battled Big Daddy Kane, and got his first bit of shine after meeting Erick Sermon and EPMD. It was Sermon who introduced Keith to the masses before Keith dropped his still heralded debut album, The Most Beautifullest Thing In This World in 1994. Since that time Keith has released 5 proper albums, most recently Intellectual Violence in April of 2008. Keith is also a part of the Def Squad with the aforementioned Sermon and Redman. {sharethis}
