Last week I posted a couple videos from Maroon 5’s performance at Union Station as part of The Total Rewards #PlotYourEscape launch. Just to put it in context, Total Rewards hosted 4 simultaneous concerts in 4 different cities featuring major artists. Chicago saw Maroon 5 and Sara Bareilles, while L.A. had Lil’ Wayne and Cee-Lo, Diddy and Mariah Carey performed in NYC, and New Orleans had Mary J. Blige and Gavin DeGraw. For me, the Chicago show really was an “escape,” because I never go to pop concerts like Maroon 5 and Sara Bareilles.
I’ve also never been to a concert at Union Station.
It was also cool to go to a show and not have anyone come up to me with a CD or flyer, that was an escape in itself. After the event kicked off, I hung out and enjoyed music, and some drinks. I was also able to catch up with a lot of good people, such as the crew from Jugrnaut, Andrew from FakeShoredrive, Ernest Wilkins from Redeye, and others that were there. And while I’m not the biggest fan of Sara Bareilles or Maroon 5, they are both major acts for a reason and put on good shows. I have a few instagramed photos below. Check them out.
