Looking at some of the top CEO’s salaries is interesting in any industry, but especially retail. Some fashionistas may think that the high-end labels are really the ones making the bank, but it’s a whole different story. It’s fun to see what company’s CEO tops the list because the results kinda make you go hmmm…Top 10 after the jump.
1. H. Lee Scott Jr., 60, Former President and CEO, Wal-Mart: $30.2 million.
2. Michael S. Jeffries, 64, CEO, Abercrombie & Fitch: $15.9 million.
3. Paul Marciano, 57, CEO, Guess: $15.2 million.
4. Julien Geiger, 63, CEO, Aeropostale: $14.2 million.
5. John J. Donahoe, 48, CEO, Ebay: $13.2 million.
6. Michael T. Duke, 59, CEO (as of Feb. 1), Wal-Mart: $12.2 million.
7. Mike Ullman, 62, CEO, J.C. Penny: $10 million.
8. Eduardo Castro-Wright, 54, Vice Chairman, Wal-Mart: $9.99 million.
9. Lew Frankfort, 63, CEO, Coach: $9.65 million.
10. Thomas M. Schowe, 56, CEO, Wal-Mart: $9.48 million.
All I’m saying… Wal-Mart people are some lucky mo’ fo’s… look at that jump in salary from #1 to #2.
