Not many producers can make the jump from looping up old tapes of Barney the Dinosaur to creating music for the likes of Do or Die, Yelawolf and Mr. Muthafuckin’ eXquire. Yet, that is the case for Chicago’s own Mike Jaxx, a producer and songwriter who created his earliest beats while watching wrestling and using pens to drum out patterns on coffee tables. Those methods are gone, but the hunger remains. Mike Jaxx has been gaining work and momentum in recent months, especially after producing the breakout One Man Pizza Party series for ShowYouSuck as well as Pennies In My Pocket for Grade Aplus.
