Jay Electronica

The music gods have been smiling down on me lately.  Last week we got a release date for Evidence’s Cats & Dogs, followed by an announcement that the Beastie Boys linked up with Spike Jonze for a new video.  Today the hot streak continues, as Jay Electronica has posted on twitter that his Roc Nation debut, Act II: Patents of Nobility (The Turn), is complete and has been heard by a couple lucky people in the music biz. Jay Elec also thanked fans for their support through the years, and hinted that the album even boasts a guest appearance from Rock n’ Roll hall of fame member, David Bowie. “What if i told yall we even got David Bowie singing bg vox on a record? Ask The Bullitts,” he wrote.  He ended his string of album tweets by putting the album in line with Watch The Throne, and Cole World, two other Roc Nation releases from Jay-Z and J. Cole respectively.  The third “J” is the charm for me though, and I can’t wait to hear the album.  For now, you can check Jay’s tumblr for updates, or ask Bun B.
