The Jim Thome era in Chicago is over, Thome was sent to the Dodgers last night after the White Sox dropped another game to the Twins, and another game closer to ending their season without a playoff experience. It wasn’t too long ago that Mark Buehrle threw a perfect game, and the Sox took first place. But what a difference just a month makes, as the Sox have slid 6 1/2 games behind the Detroit Tigers and 2 1/2 games behind the Twins. We don’t really cover sports, but the Sox are more than just a baseball team. They help to deliver mail, are 4th response to fires and robberies, and a couple players work as dog walkers in the winter…We will definitely miss Jim Thome.
