Remember back when you first heard that Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole would be collaborating back in the beginning of December, now the wait is finally over thanks to “HiiiPoWeR“. The first single off of Kendrick’s upcoming Section80 is the a track with a perfect blend of styles. J. Cole’s driving production boosts the MC’s rhymes to even more enlightening heights. Even though Cole doesn’t lay down a verse, his presence is felt. The muted harmonization in the back ground and the fluttering flute fit with J. Cole’s unique production style. Kendrick matches Cole on every count with self revealing and potent rhymes. We don’t know yet when Section80 will drop, but it is rumored that the two have been working on a project together.
