KRS

Oh KRS, you never let us down.  Each time someone puts a camera or recorder in your face you take full advantage.  Keeping with tradition, KRS was stopped on the Red Carpet of VH1’s Hip Hop Honors and asked about Def Jam’s legacy.  He said that Def Jam is the dopest Hip Hop label.  “Without Def Jam there would be no Hip Hop.”  But, just as Radio Raheem sported the love and the hate on each hand, KRS follows it up by saying that Def Jam also single-handily destroyed Hip Hop.  Hear the teacher out, as he makes some good points.  You bring Hip Hop to the masses, you fuel it’s growth.  At some point that growth gets too much, the masses don’t get it, and it changes.  I’m staying out of this one personally, cause it’s just too early and I’m in the same Mikkey Halsted sweatshirt I wore last night to the Mayer Hawthorne show.  Haven’t even gone home and I’m at the office son…don’t sleep…Anyway, let me toot my own horn while you check out the video below.  Props to XXL.
