A few weeks ago, I wrote about Chicago’s newest crop of Hip Hop artists. Amongst those featured was Legit, who I call the no frills emcee of the new class. Straight up and down, Legit is an emcee and a thoughtful one at that. His last mixtape, Coloring Outside The Lines, is one of the best local releases of the last year, and Legit continues to push himself musically. He displays his skills again on this new record, “Fast Food For Thought”, the latest release from Columbia College’s AEMMP Records and their forthcoming Class President EP, produced entirely by fellow rising star, Thelonious Martin with co-production from Will Rise and features from GLC, Naledge, GTW, Lili K. and more.
