This week’s pickings of new items are slimmer than usual but as always past weeks of Local Threads are plentiful in fresh goods. As we make the transition from October to November more and more tree’s have changed colors. Now the Bears’ season is in full swing and our Blackhawks are gearing up for the long haul. While the Bulls’ season is still MIA, there are plenty of alternatives to help fill the void (somewhat). Check out what new offerings rolled through Chicago this week and have a great weekend.

Leading off the week is Leaders 1354 with one of the dopest accessories to grace the column in a while. Mahogany Suite provided the shop with a variety of wooden bracelets and necklaces. All are constructed with wooden beads ranging in color from natural to red and blue. A Leaders dog tag is one of the standout pendants, along with the winged L on the bracelets. They’re available in store and in limited numbers.

Leaders 1354 also previewed the latest model of Air Jordan I’s, set to drop on November 15th. The blacked out upper is made from leather and looks incredible. We get these images courtesy of the ever fresh Ty. These are not a pair of Jordans to be passed up.

Jugrnaut hits us with a few new colorways of their ever-popular shield tee. My favorite out of the group is the Chicago themed one, with the great combination of robin blue, red, and white that adorn our flag. They also received new shipments of The Hundreds and a sick glow in the dark Mishka hoodie. Man I can’t wait to get my hands on some of The Hundreds holiday gear when Christmas time rolls around.

The final item in this weeks local threads arrived at Uprise via Vans Syndicate. The shoemaker teamed with esteemed photographer and videographer Greg Hunt, who has shot his fair share of skate related imagery over the year. The pack comes with two models, the Era ‘S’ and the Sk8 Lo ‘S’, both have black suede on the front of the shoe with a gray textured canvas covering the rest. These are very ill and as well as being limited, so head into the shop to grab a pair.
