Louie P. Newton is an emcee/producer hailing from Detroit, Michigan. The influence of the Mitten is evident upon first listen to “Not Practiced”, which Louie also produced. It contains elements of the Detroit boom-bap and off kilter flow that has become synonymous with Detroit’s gritty Hip Hop. Young Mr. Newton may just be the next in line following Royce, Black Milk, and others from the D’s heavy underground scene.
