It’s been a while since we’ve heard Lupe in his Food & Liquor form but if this track is any indication of what to expect on Lupe’s forthcoming Food & Liquor 2: Great American Rap Album pt., then I think we “Just Might Be OK”. This snippet of the LP’s lead single shows what we’ve been missing since the execs at Atlantic Records started trying to commercialize one of Chi-town’s finest. The track samples a classic in Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth’s 92′ jam “They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.)” making it apparent that F&L 2 will likely be a return to “Real” hip hop. Check it out below.
