While at the BET Awards Sunday night, Machine Gun Kelly took some time to respond to Yelawolf’s recent comments regrding the up and coming rapper. In sideways manner, Kelly told MTV News, “I love him, man. You gotta respect your elders, and he’s an old man so I gotta give it up,” the 22-year old MGK stated mocking Yelawolf, who is 10 years older. “I respect all grandpas around the world doin’ it big. Salute.” To me this issue needs to be deaded before it goes any further. In today’s age of “he say, she say” media, where any publicity is good publicity, it’s should be clear that these two emcees would eventually begin to beef. It’s completely understandable the way Yela feels, as he is simply at another level than MGK at this point, yet as Yela noted MGK does seem to have the majority of consumers at his side. At the end of the day MGK should see that he has no place in this game if it wasn’t for the success of artists like Yelawolf & his boss Eminem. Check the clip after the jump.
