Malice (The Clipse)

Last week I had the opportunity to interview Malice of The Clipse while he was in Chicago promoting his new book, Wretched, Pitiful, Poor, Blind, and Naked.  During the interview, Malice discussed the process of writing the book, his relationship with Pusha T, the legacy of the Clipse music, and the changes he has gone through that are at the heart of WPPBN.  He also let us know that he will be changing his rap moniker, as he feels the name “Malice” no longer fits.

“I’m not a malicious person, and I don’t really like answering to that,” he told RubyHornet. “I know people that follow the Clipse or follow my music, they know Malice. I understand that. I get that.  But you don’t want to be known by any moniker that is of evil intent that’s not you.  I’ve come to believe that there’s so much power in the tongue.  The power of the tongue is life and death. I believe you are what you fall under, whether it’s in your subconscious or not. It’s just me trying to clean up a bit, but I haven’t thought of that name just yet.”
