Check out this new track, “Spread”, from singer, songwriter, producer, and Mr. play every instrument Mathien. He sent this over to me yesterday to drop, and the song is very ill. According to Mathien:
“I wrote this on the first beautiful day of the summer. It’s kind of a sex song, which is out of character for me because a lot of that lovey dovey r&b s**t is corny. This song came to me naturally though, and I tried to incorporate my nerdy demeanor enough so that it wouldn’t come off as some pretentious “let’s get freaky” song. I just wanted to make a nice sexy song, but I wanted nothing to be overstated or cheesy. ”
