Mayer Hawthorne was on Twitter yesterday talking about Daniel Johnston, a very talented musician who was just as mentally ill as he was musically inclined. I saw the 2005 bio-flick “The Devil and Daniel Johnston” a few years ago and was immediately captivated. I guess Hawthrone shares the captivation, as he has covered Johnston’s “I Held The Hand” and let it go for the Internets to enjoy.
